About Me

👋 Hi, I'm Joanna!
Currently a Master's student at MIT, studying Computer Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction. You can find me at gerr@mit.edu.
In undergrad, I studied Computer Science and Game Design (via the Comparative Media Studies department). Designing and making games is my passion!
📝 So, what else?
I like a lot of things! Arguably, too many things. Some things I particularly like include:
  • The Luv(sic) hexalogy, by Nujabes and Shing02.
  • Playing piano, singing, and (attempting to) play bass...
  • Ditto plushies and Rilakkuma merchandise.
  • Witch Hat Atelier, Nodame Cantabile, and Run with the Wind! ❤️
  • Sleep! Who doesn't? I don't always get enough, but I try my best.
  • Exclamation points... as you've likely noticed!
In case you were wondering: yes, this site's URL is indeed a reference to J. D. Salinger's short story, A Perfect Day for Bananafish. It is not a reference to the manga Banana Fish, which is also named for Salinger's work, but I like that as well!
👍 Nice. Is that all?
Yes! Thanks for taking a peek at my site. Again, if you would like to contact me, I'm gerr@mit.edu. Happy to answer work inquiries, or questions from current students, if you've somehow stumbled upon this corner of the internet!
